Here's what our clients think

  • “Kit was an absolute pleasure to work with on the concept for our Summer 2019 campaign. She worked to the brief and created a fun, colourful, quirky window for selected stores across the brand. Handling everything from start to finish, Kit made it easy to get this up and running in a very short amount of time. It's a busy time in retail in November and Kit helped make it a little bit easier by handling the sourcing of materials and installation of this window to ensure it looked exactly how we imagined. I look forward to working with her again!”

CJ Campbell, Visual Merchandising Coordinator, Bailey Nelson
  • “Kitiya was a pleasure to work with installing a bright, playful and multi-layered response to our Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition Disney: The Magic of Animation. Kit was incredibly thorough and professional,  providing two concepts with detailed drawings that facilitated swift approval among stakeholders. She was able to problem-solve and adjust her designs on the day of install and the result was a stunning celebration of shop product adding colour and vibrancy to our retail frontage. ”

    Anaya Latter, ACMI Brand Manager
  • “Kitiya was a delight to work with on our Knit Con 2022 project for Pinterest. Her keynote talk on the Importance of Handmade in a Digital World left a huge impact on our guests and left them feeling inspired & confident to go out and work with their hands more. I would recommend Kit to anyone, she would be an asset to any event and really brought the fun and colour! ”

Frequently Asked Questions

All of our projects are bespoke, and made/assembled by hand, and as such require more time to produce than your average design project, prop rental, event hire, or sourced styling piece. We require a minimum of 3 weeks lead time to design and build your project. For interstate clients, we recommend allowing an extra week for courier times, just to be safe.

Ideally, we encourage you to get in touch at the start of the campaign or event production process - ideally as soon as creative has been signed off - so we can get to work straight away on your project build.

That being said, we understand that sometimes things come up, and last-minute requests are occasionally necessary. If this is the case, please email us with your urgent requests and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Given the bespoke nature of our projects, our costings for our prop and installation services can vary significantly from project to project. As an example, the projects showcased on this page range between $4000 - $15,000. Given the custom nature of our work, we encourage you to get in touch with us with your project idea, so we can work together to create a design solution that fits your budget.

Our in-house prop and installation design services include:

- Cardboard construction

- Papier-mâché

- Plush, fabric-based construction

- Papercraft

- Piñatas

- Sewing and embroidery

- Puppets and plush characters

… and other craft-based techniques

In addition, we work with a team of trusted fabricators for the following design services:

- Digital and hand painted signwriting and installation

- Aluminium and steel fabrication

- Foam carving

- Light boxes and displays

- Scenic painting

Absolutely! Once the project is completed, the work is yours!

We’re big on sustainability here at Kitiya Palaskas Studio, so if you have no need for the props or installation after the project ends, you can choose to opt-in to our Loop-de-Loop Sustainability Program. We work with a range of community partners to re-house props, installations, and excess materials to give a second life. Find out more about Loop-de-Loop here.

Most definitely! We love working with clients all over Australia, and the world!

Depending on your project scope and deliverables, we can either courier straight to your door, and/or travel to your location to install the project. In some cases we have even completed the entire build on-site at the client’s location. Just get in touch with your interstate or international enquiries and we’ll get the ball rolling!
