Workshops

In 2010 we hosted our first ever craft workshop at the Etsy headquarters in NYC. Since then we have developed a passion for teaching and inspiring others to embrace their creativity through community-based making. Studies have shown that engaging in creative workshops evokes a sense of solidarity and companionship and can give a sense of accomplishment, pride and satisfaction, which all impact positively on our mental health.

We can work directly with you to develop a unique and personalised creative event for your audience, customers or community. With over a decade of varied craft knowledge and skills under our belt, and a passion for teaching, anything is possible!

Me!
  • “We worked with Kit to create the collaboration of our dreams. From the first meeting, we knew we’d struck gold. We found someone who was approachable, reliable and who really cared about her craft. Kit thinks outside of the box every step of the way. She can transform a simple idea into something beyond your imagination. If you have the chance to work with Kit, do it!”

Breana Phillips, Marketing Director, Hey Tiger Chocolate
  • “Kit was an absolute pleasure to work with on the concept for our Summer 2019 campaign. She worked to the brief and created a fun, colourful, quirky window for selected stores across the brand. Handling everything from start to finish, Kit made it easy to get this up and running in a very short amount of time. It's a busy time in retail in November and Kit helped make it a little bit easier by handling the sourcing of materials and installation of this window to ensure it looked exactly how we imagined. I look forward to working with her again!”

CJ Campbell, Visual Merchandising Coordinator, Bailey Nelson
  • “Kitiya was a delight to work with on our Knit Con 2022 project for Pinterest. Her keynote talk on the Importance of Handmade in a Digital World left a huge impact on our guests and left them feeling inspired & confident to go out and work with their hands more. I would recommend Kit to anyone, she would be an asset to any event and really brought the fun and colour! ”

Montana Cooper, Project Manager, Our Friends Electric
  • “Kit's style and level of work is as expected - perfection! I enjoyed her pitch document too - really helpful for selling things in on my end.”

Blaze Edwards, Social Media Manager, Who Gives A Crap Toilet Paper
  • “Kitiya was a pleasure to work with installing a bright, playful and multi-layered response to our Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition Disney: The Magic of Animation. Kit was incredibly thorough and professional,  providing two concepts with detailed drawings that facilitated swift approval among stakeholders. She was able to problem-solve and adjust her designs on the day of install and the result was a stunning celebration of shop product adding colour and vibrancy to our retail frontage. ”

    Anaya Latter, ACMI Brand Manager
  • “As part of our Speaker Series aimed towards Sustainability in Fashion, we teamed up with the wonderful Kitiya Palaskas Studio to create an upcycling workshop from thrifted clothes and recycled crafts. Kit was an absolute delight from the word go and we would highly recommend collaborating with Kitiya Palaskas Studio for any event to add in a fun and creative element! Kit and her team hosted a 1 hour workshop to teach the students how they could recreate an item of clothing to give it life and love again. By utilising the provided 'craft buffet', students could sew, glue, cut or embroid patches whilst Kit assisted and inspired them. We cannot wait to work with Kitiya Palaskas Studio again!”
